Enrichment opportunities at the YMCA of Sequim

At the Y, we hope to empower people so they can reach their full potential. These enrichment opportunities aim to spark creativity, promote healthy living, and create social connections. Most are free for active YMCA members. Materials fees may apply to some classes.

This club is self-lead with all of the materials that we provide including inspirational images, rocks, paints, etc.

Chess Club

All-Ages Chess Club
Join our All-Ages Chess Club and discover the fun, challenge, and strategy of the world’s most timeless game! Open to beginners and experienced players alike, this welcoming club offers a relaxed environment to learn, practice, and sharpen your skills. Players of all ages will enjoy casual games, guided instruction, friendly matches, and opportunities to learn new strategies while building focus, patience, and critical thinking. Whether you’re learning the moves for the first time or looking to improve your game, everyone is welcome at the board!

DAYS: Every Wednesday starting Feb. 4, 2026
TIMES: 4:00 - 6:00 P.M.
LOCATION: Multi-Purpose Room (upstairs)

Knitting

This class is lead by volunteer teacher Jane. Please bring your own materials. You can bring a current project, or find inspiration at the class. 

DAYS: 1st & 3rd Saturdays
TIMES: 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
LOCATION: Multi-Purpose Room (upstairs)

No registration necessary.
Classes are first come, first serve.
Limited to 8 participants.

Cost

Cost is free for members; non-members can access with a day-pass.
