Early Learning Center at 7th Haven
In response to evolving community needs, the YMCA will transition the Early Learning Center space at 7th Haven to OlyCap/Head Start, ensuring that families continue to receive comprehensive, trusted early childhood education and support services. This transition reflects a shared mission between the organizations to serve children and families with excellence, care, and accessibility.
Looking Ahead
The transition will allow the YMCA to focus its efforts on expanding early learning opportunities and strengthening our long-term impact on the community.
As a part of this work, the YMCA is advancing plans for a new Early Learning and Family Support Center to be located on the high school campus, with future programming delivered in partnership with the school district. This collaboration will also create meaningful opportunities for high school students to gain hands-on experience and explore career pathways in education, childcare, and related fields. With final funding now secured, this future center is designed to expand services beyond early education to include a wider range of family support resources, reinforcing the YMCA’s ability to meet growing community needs.
Families currently connected to early learning programs will continue to have access to services through OlyCap/Head Start, providing continuity of care during this transition.
The YMCA remains deeply committed to youth development and family well-being and looks forward to working alongside community partners to create lasting, positive changes across the peninsula.
