Membership Holds and Cancellations

The YMCA doesn't require membership contracts upon joining. Instead Memberships are on a month-to-month basis. Please review our policies for cancelling your Membership and/or putting your Membership on hold.

CANCELLATIONS

Members may cancel their membership at any time.

  • Cancellations can be processed through your online membership profile in Daxko or in person with a Member Services Representative; contact your home branch.
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current month. Even if your cancellation is submitted before the scheduled draft date, members are still responsible for that month's membership fee. No additional fees will be charged beyond the current month.
  • Any outstanding balance must be paid in full before the cancellation is finalized.

If you are considering cancelling due to extenuating circumstances including medical necessity, you might want to consider placing your account on hold instead of cancelling. Please review our Hold Policy before deciding what is right for you.

HOLDS

Y Memberships can be placed on hold for both medical and/or vacation-related reasons.

In order to do so, please complete this form:

  • Members wishing to place a hold for for vacation-related reasons will incur a monthly charge of $5 to be paid in advance of the hold. Medical-related holds are free of charge.
  • Memberships will be returned to Active status if the member does not communicate changes to the Y before the 1st of the month.
