Join us as we explore the beautiful North by Northwest area of the Olympic Peninsula! Our adventure will include a visit to the Makah Cultural & Research Center Museum in Neah Bay, a stroll along the beach in Clallam Bay, a visit to the Cape Flattery Observation Deck, lunch and stopping for ice cream on the way home.

The Makah Museum offers a fascinating look into the history and culture of the Makah people through ancestral objects, photographs, full-sized replicas, beautiful basketry and canoes, and a full-sized longhouse. The museum is also home to the Ozette Collection, a remarkable collection of wooden artifacts that were preserved for approximately five hundred years after being buried by a landslide. Museum admission is $10 for adults and $8 for seniors (62years+). Please bring personal funds to pay for your museum admission.

Travel by YMCA van to our first stop at Clallam Bay Spit Community Beach County Park is approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes. From Clallam Bay, we will travel approximately 35 minutes to the Makah Museum. After lunch, the return trip to Granny's Café is approximately 1 hour.

Come enjoy a day of beautiful scenery, history, culture, and adventure as we explore one of the most unique areas of the Olympic Peninsula!
