Training Program Information
Darkness to Light helps adults learn how to prevent, spot, and respond to child sexual abuse. Through education and raising awareness, we reduce stigma and give adults the tools they need to protect children. We believe keeping kids safe is everyone's responsibility, and learning the right skills makes taking action possible.
This Stewards of Children® training - one of the few programs in the U.S. focused on adults - has been shown to teach important knowledge and change how people respond.
You can take this training for free and help make our community safer by preventing child sexual abuse.

TRIGGER WARNING:
Thank you for your commitment to taking Darkness to Light’s online child sexual abuse prevention trainings.
Attached you will find instructions on how to access Olympic Peninsula YMCA’s unique login page, create a user account, and how to take the online certification.
The training contains a mix of survivor stories, expert advice, and practical guidance for prevention of child sexual abuse. Child sexual abuse is a tough topic. Some of the survivor stories may affect you in a personal way. These stories reflect the personal experiences of actual survivors. These are the experiences children face when they are sexually abused, thus Darkness to Light chose to include them.
There is a National Resource Sheet available in the resource section of the course with names and numbers of agencies that can help. Someone is available for you to talk to about any needs you have through the Darkness to Light helpline at 1.800.656.HOPE (4673).
Thank you for your commitment to child sexual abuse prevention.
