New YMCA Early Learning Center at 7th Haven
A NEW COMMUNITY ASSET!
As a collaboration between the YMCA of Jefferson County and OlyCap, a new Early Learning Center has been built in the new 7th Haven apartment complex located on the corner of 7th and Hendricks Street in the Castle Hill neighborhood of Port Townsend, WA. The licensed program, which will be open to all families, will be opening this fall and is designed for children between 2.5 - 5 years old.
Program Executive of Youth Development, Sarah Scagliotti, states, "“It’s not just about keeping kids busy – it’s about building confidence, preparing them to learn and helping them care about others. At our Early Learning Center, we believe that early childhood education is most effective when it embraces a multi-sensory, child-centered approach to learning."
Registration for the YMCA Early Learning Center at 7th Haven is now open. We accept DCYF subsidy as well as have Y financial assistance available for families who have a need. To learn more about subsidy, go to our program page and click on the About Subsidy tab.
PRESCHOOL SUMMER CAMP!
In addition, the Y will be kicking off a Preschool Summer Camp for children ages 3-5 years old starting June 30th at the same location, which will have both AM and PM programs through the summer.

OPEN HOUSE
To celebrate the new facility, the entire community is invited to the Center's Open House, which is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10th. At the ELC location. Come check out this great asset to the community.
