Parkinson's Workshop: Keep Moving Together
In honor of World Parkinson's Day, the YMCA is hosting this special 4 hour event. This day is for people living with Parkinson's and the people who love them.
It will include professional presentations, movement activities and lunch. It is a chance to learn, to move and to connect.
Participants will enjoy gentle, adaptable activities that encourage balance, strength, coordination, and joy, all in a supportive and encouraging environment. Whether you are living with Parkinson’s, supporting someone who is, or simply want to move with purpose, this event is about showing up, staying active, and moving forward—together.
No experience required. All abilities welcome. Come as you are and move at your own pace.

Throughout her career, she has cared for many individuals and families living with Parkinson’s disease, which sparked her passion for helping people better understand and manage this condition. She enjoys translating complex neurologic topics into practical, everyday information.

She graduated from Aloha Massage Academy in Hawaiʻi, where she was deeply influenced by the island’s holistic approach to bodywork and healing. As a Native Hawaiian practitioner, her work is rooted in traditional wisdom and intentional touch. She is trained in Lomi Lomi, Thai, Swedish, prenatal, and lymphatic drainage massage, allowing her to tailor each session to the unique needs of every client. Her approach blends therapeutic technique with intuitive care, creating a safe and restorative space for the body to release tension and restore balance.
