MEAL SITES

One in six children in the U.S. don’t know where their next meal is coming from. The summer is a particularly vulnerable time for kids who rely on free or reduced-price meals during the school year. At the Y, we know that children who receive daily nutrition are set up to succeed. That’s why we’re helping kids reach their full potential by providing free access to healthy snacks and meals when school’s out for summer.

Please check back in May 2018 for the new Summer Meal sites.

During the summer of 2017 we served over 5,000 delicious lunches and snacks in East Jefferson County.

ACTIVITIES SITES

When school's out, it's time to relax, decompress, and have fun with friends. Yet taking a break from school does not mean kids development is on vacation. Summertime at the Y focuses on the three key drivers of impact that inspire healthy youth development journeys: achievement, relationships and belonging. (Ages 5-12) Pre-registration is required to participate in activities at these sites.
