Sequim Group Fitness Schedule

 

We have modified our group exercise class schedules for our Stage 1 re-opening. At this time, all classes will be held OUTDOORS. For everyone's safety, classes will be limited to a max of 8 people at the YMCA of Sequim, and 5 people at the YMCA of Port Angeles. Most classes are beginner classes and can be modified to fit any level of fitness. Our instructors will be happy to help!

Group exercise classes will resume at the YMCA of Port Angeles starting on Monday, August 24 to Wednesday, September 30. At the YMCA of Sequim, classes will resume starting Tuesday, August 25 to Wednesday, September 30. Class days, times, instructors and formats may be changed when necessary. 

All classes are available by reservation only. At this time, reservations for classes can only be made for the week of August 24-August 30. We are working on class reservations for the following week. To make a reservation, please click here.

PLEASE NOTE: To make a reservation for Walking Class at the YMCA of Sequim, please call 360-477-4381 at this time. You can make a reservation for Tai Chi starting Monday, August 31. 

EQUIPMENT: To prevent the spread of germs and viruses, we are not lending out any equipment at this time. Please make sure to bring your own water, towels, yoga mats, blocks, or straps if you have them. Spin bikes will be available for cycling class, and will be cleaned and sanitized before each class. 

KEEPING YOU SAFE: All members will be required to social distance, and Y instructors will ensure that members are safely distanced apart. According to state guidelines, you are exempt from wearing a facial covering during strenuous indoor or outdoor exercise or if you have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing one safely. 

INCLEMENT WEATHER: At the YMCA of Sequim, class will continue in the event of inclement weather unless it is not safe to do so. Soon there will be outdoor coverings to keep members comfortable and dry. At the YMCA of Port Angeles, class will most likely be cancelled if it rains. We will notify you as soon as possible to let you know if class will be cancelled or will continue.

HOLIDAY CLOSURES: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day (Monday, September 7, 2020), Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and Irrigation Festival Parade(Sequim Y). We will close at noon on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
