What is Clallam County Homeless Connect?

Ten years ago, the first Clallam County Homeless Connect Project was done. It is an event, held in March for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, who are able to come to one place (the Vern Burton Center) to access services – Housing and job information, legal advice, connect with various social service agencies (about 50 entities), receive medical care, some dental care, haircuts, help with driver’s license reinstatement, sign up for state services and veteran’s services, free breakfast and lunch, free clothing and more. Over 300 local community members participate. This event is coordinated by Clallam County Homeless Outreach, a non-profit organization.
